Why was it scrapped...

It has been withdrawn from service in early 2018 and then stored in the local depot. Since 1/1/2019 pre-Euro 1 standards (91/114 CE) cannot be driven on Italian soil, so this Effeuno has been waiting for its destiny until late 2022.
The chassis had also deteriorated and the engine was wasted, so it wasn't economically sustainable to be restored by enthusiasts...
