How many old Transits are exist in Romania? When I watched 2017's series "Comrade Detective" which set in 80's Romania I was surprised to see caracters driving Ford Transit van.



And also one in the background.


Sad that there is no Rocar's TV vans in this series. There were some Dacias, Lada, Trabant, a couple of RoMans trucks (or Dac, or Man, or whatever), but no Rocar.

I don't know exactly, but these Mk2 vans were popular in Romania in the early 90s, especially in Banat.
The model with round headlights is also rarely, just three I have ever seen.

So they massively appeared in Romania after 1989 or early, in Ceaușescu years? Of course, you don't remember 80's, but I think, that you watched more old Romanian movies than me, for exmpale

It is clear that appeared after 1989 in Romania, i don't think anyone had a Ford Transit during Ceaușescu when Rocar TV was the national van.
Probably those who maked the series did not find a Rocar and introduced an old Ford Transit.
Also you can visit imcdb.org and see what cars appear in the old Romanian movies.

Also this is the bus from episode 5. Can't identify it. But it must be something existing in Romanian bus park, maybe some 90's import from Western Europe. First I think that this is some Rocar bus. However, It more looks like MAN 750, but I am not shure.

Это не советский фильм. Это новодел 2017 года выпуска, пародия на американские полицейские боевики в антураже социалистической Румынии. Но, имхо, посмотреть стоит. Местами вполне забавно.
