Mate, that was a Duster, and yes, it's quite infuriating to miss it, as I was focused on this truck. The same happened with a Bentley back in July 2020: I was in Valencia, on holidays, and when I was on my way back home (at that home where I stayed 4 days ofc), I saw a Logan MCV from the local taxi; then, after spotting that taxi, I've realised that there was a Bentley in the background of the picture, which I didn't even see. And that's the story of how I missed a Bentley.

Oh how I hate when that happens. One of my worst misses happened a few years ago when I was concentrating on an ambulance and completely missed an Opel Kadett C on original 1976 enamel plates, one of the very last sets issued before Denmark switched to modern reflective plates. I caught the rear half of the car by chance in the frame of the ambulance photo, but missed the chance of a proper photo of the Kadett.

Another typical scenario: truckspotting at busy highway, a truck passes and you take a photo, not sure you got it in time for the plate to be readable, so you turn around to get an extra backup photo from the rear... meanwhile you miss the next truck, 10 times more interesting than the original and never spotted before or ever again - you miss it because you were concentrating on that damn extra photo... that turns out to be unnecessary anyway, since the plate on the original one was already fully readable!

Yeah, I know that feeling.
Another of my misses on this highway was a Bosnian truck (probably a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter) and I wasn't even aware of that! Since then, I haven't seen any Bosnians AT ALL, only Polish, Lithuanian, Portuguese, Moroccan, Romanian and Bulgarian trucks, among other countries

I feel your pain of missing that Bosnian one... only spotted ONE myself in all the years since starting in 2012. I guess Bosnians just don't leave their country, on vacation or for commercial purposes.

What i hate the most is when some shitty generic car gets in front of a remotely interesting one or missing one because i didnt have anything to take a photo of...

That's exactly what happened to me with a Polish Iveco S-Way: a generic truck with Spanish plates just decided to overtake that Polish S-Way and ruin my picture of it

I missed 2 Dacia 1300s in pristine condition and a Ferrari on the motorway to Bucharest because i was half asleep in the car... but i cant upload the pics here since im too lazy to downsize them (and too lazy to upload here in general lmao)

Admittedly i also like the Trans Euro Express logo on the sun visor. As a railway fan, i approve.
